  • Good place

Tucked away in the countryside at No Mans Heath the Wheatsheaf is close to Whitchurch, not far from Chester, and Llangollen, this pub couldn't have provided more. Inside this small country pub that offers excellent food and ales, a very welcoming greeting and friendly atmosphere. Part of the bar area is given over to dining area, there is also a fragrant garden with seating and tables. Very welcoming staff and a nice informal atmosphere was matched by better than average pub food, well coked and presented. The menu is very good for all our family members offering good food, good portions for the meat eaters and catering very well for the non meat eaters. Me in particular, following a vegan diet The first visit there was a party booked, but I was informed about it and we still had good service. The second visit we had lunch in the garden. This time I managed a dessert. Bearing in mind this is at least 40 minutes drive for us, it’s worth it for the good food and, it’ll be always be a detour when travelling in the area.
