  • Small but salubrious selection

Nourish Organics started as a natural snack food company and has now opened this small, pleasant cafe and shop in Mehar Chand Market in Lodhi Colony. The menu features raw foods and fresh juices, and there are a few tables for sit-down eating. Unfortunately, during my visit at just before 11am, they were not yet serving food, so i only had a carrot juice (fresh and delicious) and some snacks from the shop, so i can't comment on the quality of the cafe's preparations, but the menu looks appealing. The shop offers a selection of packaged snack foods such as dried fruits, roasted nuts, snack bars, etc. (see their website for product descriptions). Vegans note that unfortunately most of these items contain honey, but there are a few vegan needles in the haystack, so read the labels carefully and you'll be rewarded (tip: try the ginger clove bars and the date lime bars - both are yummy and not overly sweet). Nourish Organics is about 3 blocks south of Lodhi Road, so it's within reasonable walking distance of either of two metro stations: JLN Stadium or Jangpura. Though the menu is relatively small, the quality seems to be high (based on my small sampling), and as one of Delhi's handful of organic (and meat-free) eateries, it's worth the trip and it's worth supporting them. Enjoy!
