  • Wake up and smell the tofu!

My husband and I have been vegetarian for over 30 years and have eaten memorable meals in some of the best restaurants in the US and Europe. We have found consistently better food at non-vegetarian places, and Le Grenier is no exception. Our experience there was frustrating and disappointing. The food would have passed muster 25 years ago, but the world and vegetarian cuisine have all moved beyond the menu here. You don't have to put up with this kind of mediocrity, especially in Paris. The food was vastly overpriced and the service bordered on rude. The best thing I can say about it is that the wine was good and reasonably priced and the kir was one of the best I've ever had. Other than that, we ended up wishing we'd gone to a falafel stand.
