To be honest, one doesn't expect to find much of anything that's vegan in a small town like Yachats. However, it's surprising how much Yachats has to offer vegans! There are 2 or 3 restaurants that have vegan offerings. We had spent the afternoon on the beach and we're heading out of town around dinner time. We stopped by one of the veg-friendly restaurants, but the wait was too long (it was a Friday night of a holiday weekend), and we didn't have much time to spend, as we needed to get home. After seeing this video store/country store listed here, we decided to stop in and see what they had. We were pleasantly surprised to find vegan bread, vegan Field Roast deli slices, vegan chipotle Vegenaise, vegan chips, and some fine vegan chocolates. They even had Dandies vegan marshmallows! So, we got some stuff and made simple sandwiches for our drive home. Easy enough. Thanks for having vegan options!
