  • Great authentic experience

This cafe is small, a bit dark and hard to find, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the best lunches I have had in Tokyo. There is no menu, the meal of the day is written on the wall (in Japanese). When you enter you can sit wherever you'd like, the staff ask you if you want brown or white rice. Then tea and a lovely Japanese style lunch set with many small dishes including different kinds of vegetables, tofu, soup and of course rice will be served. According to another review here rice and soup refill is free so this is definitely good value for the money. The only negative thing I could think of is that apparently it's not always fully vegan so if you don't speak any Japanese it might be a bit risky. It was vegan the day I went though. I left fully satisfied and would definitely go again.
