  • 3rd time is not a charm....

We have tried this place three times now, hoping to have a new vegan go-to restaurant in town, but we won't be back. The menu is disappointingly inaccurate. We ordered the miso pea shoots (good) and the avocado frites, which were listed as gluten free, but when we confirmed that with the waitress she had no idea and said she actually did not think they were, so instead we had the tortilla bites which were just nachos, flavorless guacamole, and cut up tomatoes. For my main I was looking at two salads both claiming to be vegan and gluten-free, but one listed baked harvest cheese. When I asked the waitress, she said oh yes that isn't vegan actually, so I ordered one with artichokes and heirloom tomatoes. When it came out it had Boccioni cheese on it, and the waitress told me it listed that on the menu, even though it was also listed as vegan. In restaurants claiming to be vegan, usually the cheese is the chefs own vegan “cheese” creation, but apparently here you are supposed to know to ask about everything. After waiting even longer to send it back and get it re-made it was a decent salad. My boyfriend had the coconut curry, which was just okay. To top it all off, I ordered a juice that was listed as just fruit and sparkling water, and it came out tasting like ginger ale with fruit. The waitress said it was natural ginger ale... still not what I intended to order. Overall this place has a nice interior, but the menu is just wrong, the staff does not know about the food, and it is over-priced. We hoped this restaurant would get better with time, but our first two attempts at this place were just the same.
