- One of the best places in town
Habibi is unique in Guanajuato, and i have never even seen falafel anywhere else in Mexico yet. It's not on a busy street but it's a nice enough location, with easy bus access. It's small inside but cosy enough and the atmosphere is good. You can eat at the bar, on sofas or at tables with chairs. The falafel is great, but so is the lentil soup (seriously, try it, even if you don't like lentils, because i don't like lentils and i just love this soup!). The taboulé bluffed me, it's as good as in France when the Tunisians & Libanese prepare it. The houmous is also excellent. To drink they have beer, wine, Jamaica (you can get it withOUT sugar, which is very rare and very appreciable), and what is probably one of the best Chai Teas in the state, if not in the country. The Chai Tea comes in various sizes, one of them being the hugest cup you have ever seen. They also have coffee but i haven't tried it yet. I eat there regularly and the quality is consistent : German perfectionist owner Julia makes sure everything is as perfect as humanly possible. The service can be a bit slow but i guess that is merely a consequence of the high standard of production. Highly recommended.
