• Terribly Disappointed

Went to Voodoo Doughnuts extremely excited as of course, it is famous for its crazy donuts and delicious vegan options alike - and was left quite unhappy. There wasn't a menu denoting the vegan donut flavours, instead the chalkboard read "ask the counter", so I did, and was rudely and abruptly served by a guy who at first didn't even tell me any of the vegan flavours when I asked, rather, he just brushed me off and said "all those ones down there" (referencing the display of vegan donuts where none had names or flavours written next to them). A little taken aback and feeling rushed, I asked for the voodoo doll donut in the display (having no idea what flavour it was but rolling with it anyway), but apparently they had run out - to be fair it was the end of the work day so that was understandable. The guy finally started naming the vegan donuts for me in lightening speed and again, feeling rushed, I quickly chose the maple bar - which wasn't anything spectacular (maybe it was because I chose a simple donut but still), and left my tummy feeling a little weird (though I feel like any dessert as decadent donuts would do that).
