• Fina's Fab Pho

I've eaten here before and wasn't super impressed. I decided to give this Fina's branch another go after a great meal at the newer Brunswick St branch. We were on Victoria St for the Lunar New Year celebrations so there were plenty of tasty street food options but we were happy with our decision to dine here. The cafe shares a menu with it's Fitzroy sister and has added quite a few dishes since I last came here. There are HEAPS of soups. Many menu items offer options for no mock meat, substituting for more veggies or tofu, and also with more mock meat for those who love it! We both had the pho chay without any of the mock adjustments. Has a great balance and variety of veggies, tofu, mock, and a huge tangle of rice noodles beneath. The broth is the best I've had in Melbs. For an extra $3 you can upgrade to a "meal deal" and enjoy a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash down your soup. They offer vegan versions of all drinks and shakes with condensed soy milk. The subtle nutty flavour of Hanoi coffee made my day!
