Update March 2022: Been a customer here for nearly ten years and the quality control has gone so far downhill (while prices have gone up!) that it’s not even worth it for me to eat here anymore. The past four times I’ve ordered takeout (since Sept. / October), something has been missing, totally wrong, or just really poorly prepared and thrown together. Just objectively bad service. Just not worth it when there are so many better options in the immediate vicinity. Have called to complain and have received credits that have been impossible to redeem because they don’t seem to have a good system (or any system?) of keeping track of who the credit returns to. Some of the times they haven’t even wanted to refund and claimed it was our fault and wouldn’t take accountability for poor service. Used to be my favorite restaurant in town. Really sad to see how the quality has tanked. —- Old review from 2015: Howling Wolf has seemed to change their menu to be more vegan friendly since the most recent reviews. I got the tofu burrito, veganized, and added refried beans and it was the closest thing I've had to authentic Mexican food from the Mission District in San Fransisco. Extremely friendly wait staff who were more than willing to accommodate our dietary needs. Updated from previous review on 2021-11-29
