- Good food, nice people
We were just passing through and stopped for dinner. Google maps couldn't seem to find it, and if it weren't 10F outside it wouldn't have been so challenging to walk around the small riverfront area! Don't be too put off by the look of the place when you walk in, the seating is around the corner and tho simple, is nice enough. Don't expect haute cuisine ambiance. I had the Panang noodles. Great sweet, coconutty sauce with subtle spice (mild on their 4pt scale), broccoli, peapods, green beans, braised tofu, and nice big chewy rice noodles. Loved it. Also shared a simple cucumber salad with a very simple but good sweet vinegar dressing. My husband had musamun with tofu and really liked. The service was very friendly and helpful with only a minor language barrier. Meals arrived very quickly. Asked for everything without fish sauce and was assured it was so. Dinner for two was $30. They are closed on Tuesdays...otherwise we'd be headed back for lunch tomorrow before hitting the road. Major bummer! They have build-your-own soups that look great. And always want to compare Padthai between places. Updated from previous review on Monday February 02, 2015 Updated from previous review on Friday September 18, 2015
