- Good food here
I've been here several times over the years but the last time I went, the meal of the day was spinach soup, a small salad, and then the main plate with Locro de Zapallo, white rice and green lentils. The main plate was pretty good, but the soup was weak and had little flavor. They don't add a lot of salt to things, but they bring a little dish of salt to the table (actually I think it's potassium chloride and not sodium chloride). As of July 2025, the meal of the day costs 25 soles (the highest price I've seen in Peru for a vegetarian meal-of-the-day). I would give them 4 or 5 cows for the overall good food. As of July 2025 there is only one other vegetarian place in town. I would say that Darshan is superior in that it only costs two soles more to eat here but they also give you more food. You get a raw salad here with the meal of the day. Updated from previous review on Monday January 02, 2012 Updated from previous review on 2025-06-26
