This is my insider's tip in Kyoto. I had a delicious casserole there, followed by one of the best pieces of cake I ever had in a restaurant. It's also a decent place to stock up in some (guaranteed vegan) foods, since there is a little shop as well. The waiter's English might not be the best, but they put in a lot of effort.
