The Honest Weight Food Co-op is amazing! They have a huge parking lot and store space at their new location. All of the prepackaged salads and on-the-go goodies that I have ever bought there have been delicious. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian faux meats and cheeses in addition to obscure items you may not have been able to find in the grocery store (bulk nutritional yeast, bulk chickpea flour, etc). Their bulk section is extensive and I always bring clean, empty containers for filling with exotic items I want to try. While the co-op is generally a little pricier than other bargain stores, they often have sales on a lot of their vegan offerings. The co-op also hosts classes that are very intriguing, including a Vegan Thanksgiving special class. I would encourage any starting vegetarian or vegan to make their first stop the co-op and make sure to leave themselves plenty of time to browse through isles and isles of delicious options.
