- We thought we landed in heaven
We couldn't believe our luck. Our first night in Crete, in remote Plakias, we thought our chance of a vegan dinner was slim. Not only did we find Ifigenia, a lovely stroll from the village, but also, as we arrived, the hostess was just opening up a wonderful eclectic vegetarian buffet and, as it turned out, almost all vegan. Food delicious, very chilled out atmosphere, we felt like we were one of the locals. Tip: I think Friday evening is buffet night, something well worth going out of your way for.
