  • Windmill Organic Wholefood Co-op, Liverpool

As a vegan veggie now living in Liverpool I used to shop here all the time. However since its moved to Aigburth Road, it doesn't have the same handiness for where I live. Despite the move I still venture over now and again and always leave with a positive impression. Its run by a workers cooperative. There's a decent of choice of all kinds of organic and vegetarian food (fresh, frozen, chilled, tinned, dried etc etc), toiletries, household products, aromatherapy oil, soft drinks, beer, wine etc. Staff are very helpful. In my humble opinion it's the best of the health food shops in Liverpool that I have been to so far. See their website for more info. Its only a few mins walk from St Michaels Station and also near Lark Lane and the cafes there (eg Green Days) if venturing there. The Aigburth Road location has a bit more space than the old venue. Staff are as helpful as ever. Updated from previous review on Wednesday September 19, 2007
