Since taste equates for 80% of my review score, then no matter how bad the other aspects of the restaurant were, the score of this place couldn't go below a 5. That is how good the taste and freshness of the food is. There is a secret to the taste that no other cafeteria style restaurant has accomplished. Not even the other loving huts in the same city. Their secret is to have the food in the bin less than 15 minutes. They don't cook huge batches unless it is lunch rush. Also, they keep the number of available cafeteria style dishes to around 4 if they are not busy. This keeps the food always rotating and fresh. During lunch peak, they have around 8 to 10 dishes for the budget cafeteria style food. Since they are so busy, they also have woks cooking medium sized batches. Absolutely brilliant concept and they are the only restaurant to successfully pull off having FRESH food of this style. Because the food is so fresh, inexpensive, delicious and is in a good location, the positive cycle of bringing in lots of customers and turning over fresh food is symbiotic. BRILLIANT!! The budget meals with red rice is exactly $1 at the time of this review. The white rice meal is even less. You get 3 sides from the lower rack, plus the rice. If you want a custom ordered meal, then the price goes to $2-$3 depending on what you order. The ice cream bars are excellent for the price. Stay away from the small tubs of ice cream. It is all chemical tasting. Atmosphere is a little hip and many indo college students eat here. The only real drawback is the food tends to be in the spicier side. The other loving huts were not nearly as spicy. If you can't take a little heat, then watch out for the items with red chilli chunks.
