- Good Food, Bad Service
I found it a little disappointing that there is a tiny pool with barely any water in it, right outside the restaurant, with medium-sized fish hardly swimming around. Clearly the vegetarian aspect of this restaurant is for health, and not for the animals! They have a self-service queueing system to get a table, whereby you take a ticket -- which sounds good in theory! We waited for a good 20 minutes, looked away for one minute at the menu outside (to anticipate what we wanted to order), and lo and behold our ticket number had already passed! They did not call out our number and instead made us wait again and gave our table to other people. They were not friendly whatsoever about this. We ordered quite a few dishes -- the portions are huge and there's good value for money. As other reviewers mentioned, it's not particularly vegan friendly as it's unknown if the mock meats contain eggs, and many dishes contain dairy (which an annoyed waiter had to constantly check on for me). The food came quickly and was tasty. I recommend the dumpling soup! We had to ask 3 times for our bill. There's a Japanese set menu in addition to the English menu but I could not read it. Most of the staff could not speak English, so thank goodness I had a local friend with me.
