  • NoLa market of tsotchkes and food

Why would you go to the French Market? Because NoLa visitors go here to see the random wares for Mardi Gras, pictures and paintings from artists and brightly colored baubles. Also, you go here for some good food. There are a few choices that are vegan friendly, which are noted here in the NoLa pages from Happy Cow, but here are the best choices: The Crepe Cart, The Organic Banana and Meals from the Heart Cafe. From these 3 places, you can get some tasty smoothies, crepes, sandwiches and snacks. Those are your best bets. Be careful as you walk around the market though, you'll see alligator heads and claws, as well as a lot of feathers on the masks.
