• Incredible and awesome vegan variety

We moved to Missouri from California 2 months ago. Happy Cow has always been our go to site to find the local 100% vegan places in any area we wanted to go to. We purchased a home in MO so we are here to stay and we were disappointed in the 100% all vegan choices. There are only 2 in the KC area and none 75 miles south where we live. But the fact there was a a "ALL VEGAN BAKERY" we have really been jonesing to try it . Because of the distance to travel just for a "cup of joe" we did not make the effort until recently. When we walked in the atmosphere was great. Built into an old house there just not any way it couldn't be homey. We decided on the spot to go beyond our normal mocha and singl treat each and we decided to make it a food review and purchased the following: Vegan Butterfinger Double chocolate muffin Espresso chip muffin Apple cake Chocolate chip cookie Peanut butter cookie Carrot cake cupcake Lemon cupcake Pesto pretzel bagel faux cheeze cheddar bagel We nibbled all of these things and then had proper mochas made with homemade cashew milk! In California we lived near a college town and our normal "datenight" was to eat an a vegan restarant Walk across the street to a coffee shop with vegan options nad get a slice of really great chocolate cake. We would carry that down the block the coffee shop that had the right atmosphere to relax and enjoy a mocha with our cake. We called it the tri-fecta. MudPie offers sandwiches from another local all vegan place called FUD. So Mudpie offers our "tri-fecta" all in one place. For us its only down sides are the distance and we enjoy sofas we can sink into. While there is plenty of seating upstairs and down, a few more sofas and padded chairs would be nice. I give them as many stars as I can on any rating scale. Now if they could bottle up their establishment and replace all the Starbucks of the world someone would be rich....
