• Delicious Vegan Comfort Food

We finally made it to Doomie's last night for the first time after having tried samples of their food at various veg fests! (Note, if going to see a show at the Pantages Theatre, Doomie's is a great place to walk to for a pre-show dinner and glass of wine or beer). Our table shared an order of Jalapeno Poppers to start. Holy smokes! Spicy, cheesy deliciousness. Served with a yummy ranch dip. Hadn't had poppers in over a decade since before going vegan. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak... their cheese sauce is incredibly tasty and the "meat" & peppers flavors were perfectly balanced for this sandwich. Loved that they used good bread for this. I hate having a good sandwich ruined by poor choice in bread. :) My man ordered the Western Burger with garlic fries. He let me have one bite of the burger before he devoured it. It was excellent. He said he liked how thick the BBQ sauce was and the bacon was perfectly crispy. That bad boy had onion rings on it too. Wear loose clothing. My pal had the BLAT sandwich (he said it was great) and Buffalo fries that had a spicy kick but were also drizzled in a cooling ranch dressing. Yum! This is vegan comfort food at its best. This is for the days where you crave a big, messy burger and good ol' fried food like you had when you were a kid. Go to Doomie's with a hungry belly and a sinful attitude! You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back!
