- The Great Downward Spiral
I made the unfortunate decision to visit the Vita- Cafe with my wife and daughter recently and what a dissapointment. To start with the french fries were burnt. The polenta dish my wife had was miniscual (portion wise) and dried out. My daughter had the vegetable lasagna and it was so disgusting it made her sick. The vegetables in the lasagna were huge and slimmy...she referred to the eggplant in the dish as "eel skin". I have been going to Vita for years and it was always at the status quo of most Portland vegetarian eateries...Crappy....who cares service....and marginal food. Unfortunatley, the food has gone from marginal to downright nasty.
