- Basic, Quick
Was here on a trip to Taiwan a year ago, and here's my Chan Cafe review for happycow. It's a basic little cafe attached to the bookstore on the ground floor of a zen institute. Gets very busy at lunch time. Basically, you order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Afterwards you bus your own table. The food (choose rice or noodle, comes with small soup) is basic, homestyle Taiwanese cooking. A bit greasy I thought. But it's a decent place for a quick, inexpensive bite. PS. They don't provide napkins, so bring your own!
