  • Great pizza in neighborhood setting

We were just passing through and stopped for take out for Superbowl watching in a hotel. It is so rare to be able to have a proper vegan pizza with Daiya cheese that I never have the chance to critique different places and pies. What a pleasant surprise this was. Crust was thin and chewy in the main center with edge thick/rolled and nicely baked. It had an interesting, almost sweet flavor. The red sauce was rich dense tomatoes with no wine or heavy herb/garlic. Good amount of Daiya. Fair amount of toppings (mushroom onion olive--3 options!). Would have liked more! Cooked perfectly; so often regular pizza places overcook cheese less pizza. Only drawback was no protein options. A simple firm tofu marinated in an Italian dressing would be wonderful and not too far out. :) Salad was simple but nicely done with romaine, grape toms, chopped peppers and onions. Only option was packaged dressing but the balsamic was good. Service was brief/takeout but friendly. Physical space was inviting, quiet and clean. Certainly worth making this a routine pizza stop for locals, and not too far from the interstate for travelers.
