- Busy, good value, excellent food
Near Berliner Tor station, opposite the tall IBM building. A small place with shared stand-up tables - order your food at the counter then take it to a table and stand there eating it alongside other people, mostly office workers from the nearby tall buildings. Lunches range from €4 to €6.50, I had one consisting of some oven-baked thing, no idea what it was but it was delicious, and a vast plate of salad from the dozen or so on offer. Various organic soft drinks are placed around the tables and can be taken for €1.50, there is also bread on the tables that I assumed was free. I left the place with a feeling of extraordinary satisfaction, knowing I'd had one of the healthiest meals in weeks yet it was utterly delicious. How odd that it's only open weekday lunchtimes.
