Of course, I could not sample everything on the menu, but I discovered this place walking down Broadway to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and I was delighted, I lived around the corner from Sylvia's in Harlem for 8 years, but couldn't eat there, so I was happy to have a chance at vegan Soul Food. I loved the black-eyed pea fritters (which are actually more like croquettes one finds in southern Europa that I miss so much, except they could use a dipping sauce like in Europa). I also had a wonderful gumbo over grits, and a homemade front porch lemonade with the tang of not being overly sweetened. The salad was OK, but it appears that the side order of salad may be better. There are so many interesting dishes on the menu, it bears repeated visits. Very nice staff as well.
