I do not recommend Maitrea for vegans. There was only one vegan main dish, and you could ask for others in vegan version, but the vegan version they served was different from what was shown in the menu. For example they didn't give dumplings with the goulash, and they didn't give mashed potatoes with some other dish. The waitress wasn't warning me that I shouldn't be excited about vegan dumplings; these things just turned out when we directly asked or when the dish arrived. For dessert I ordered a carrot cake and it supposed to be with chocolate sauce, but they gave it with some tasteless caramel pudding, which was quite lumpy and looked a bit disgusting. I really don't think, that they are not able to make vegan chocolate sauce, vegan dumplings or vegan mashed potatoes, so I have to think, that they don't really care about vegans. (Or they just ran out of plant based ingredients?) The portions are not big enough and the prices are high.
