  • Homely, authentic Chinese vegan food

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay and enjoyed it both times. When we first arrived we were welcomed, seated and given menus by the friendly staff. Unfortunately the menus are difficult to understand, as it is not written in English. The staff were helpful though. As it was a Sunday when we went, we were told the specials on offer were the curry and spiced vegetable noodles, so we ordered both. The curry was amazing with such depth in flavour and the use of bean curd skins was simply stunning. The best curry we have possibly ever eaten. The spiced vegetable noodles were flavoursome too and the meal was accompanied with a delicious home made pickled vegetable side and dips that came free. We also ordered some malt beer and Chinese tea. In total the meal came to about $15. On our second visit we ordered the 3 braised meat assortment (tofu 3 ways) and tofu balls and vegetables. The crispy style tofu on the braised assortment was the closest I have came to crackling, very nice indeed, whilst the tofu balls were full of favour and texture. Most dishes are priced between £6-9 and value for money. Well worth a visit.
