- Expensive and less fresh
There are many Yes! markets in DC, and in general, I will go to them if stuck in a bind, but I do not appreciate them as much as other local markets because the price is too high and the quality of produce is inconsistent. I stopped going to this Yes! because of the price. You can find many items you will need as a veg*n, like toiletries, cereals/ grains, nut butters/ vegan nondairy products, breads, frozen foods, frozen veggies/ fruits, fresh produce, prepared foods and snacks. However, I never feel that the price is worth it when I know I can last another day or so before making my way to another more convenient location. The conclusion: great if you are in a bind and need veg*n items that do not support the big box grocery stores. Not so great if you are a raw foodie trying to maximize your nutrients in fresh produce at a reasonable price.
