- You must eat here if you're a veggie in Nagoya!
There are two Moku Mokus - one is in Nagoya Station Towers, on the 12th floor. The menu changes monthly because everything is completely seasonal to the organic farm. This might mean you don't know what you're getting, but you're always guaranteed to find fresh raw salads (this month is rainbow chard, rainbow carrots, cucumber, apple, pepper, rocket, and a big green salad) as well as plenty of vegan friendly prepared salads. Yes, some of the dishes contain meat, but honestly, there's enough veggie stuff to make any vegan or vegetarian who's been struggling in Japan very happy. By afternoon, there's an onigiri (riceball) bar, and at night it's a roast meat station. There's also plenty of hot food options, teas, and an ice cream bar. You can't make a reservation - you have to tap through a screen to select the number of people. The first number you tap for is number of adults, the second is number of children. A staff member will help you though :) You will then be placed in the queue. I've waited over an hour before on busy times! If you scan the QR code on the ticket you get given, it will update with how many people are in front of you in the queue. Since Moku Moku is located in La Chic department store, there's plenty for you to check out. I recommend the basement, which has some lovely organic natural stores.
