- Vegan, Casual and Delicious
Location: across from Sakuragoacho Post Office in Shibuya, next to Italian restaurant Pinosalice. Nagi is on a corner, down a short flight of steps. There's a chalkboard with "Vegan Restaurant" in English on the sidewalk in front . We used Google maps for the less than 10 minute walk from Shibuya station. Easy to find with that assistance, or follow the detailed walking directions in another review posted here. Food and ambiance : about 8-10 prepared lunch items are in the display case at the front counter and there is an English menu. The lunch special includes rice, miso , a hot or cold drink, salad and pickled veggies garnish and 3 items from the "deli" display. This is a good deal with tasty dishes and moderate sized portions. I had spicy eggplant, sesame cucumbers and tofu with tomato-coconut sauce. The atmosphere is funky and friendly with an English speaking counter person , alternative music playing , zines and announcements for local art, music and peace protest events displayed near the tables. Desserts, wine, beer and house made sweets are sold and takeout is available . I would definitely return to this friendly cafe for the fresh food and relaxed atmosphere.
