• So vegan friendly!

I am a vegan student in Mt. Pleasant and it is very hard to find vegan or even vegetarian options around here, but China Garden offers amazing, healthy vegan food at a reasonable price. Basically everything on the "vegetarian special" portion of the menu is vegan, except for 2 dishes that have egg in them, which can be made without the egg. The staff understands veganism and will be able to answer your questions and they are all very friendly and provide fast service. There are TONS of fake meat options that come with rice and vegetables and they are absolutely delicious -- I always get the vegetarian general chicken. As far as I know, most of the sauces are made with fruit, and you can get steamed brown rice, so it's a healthy option for chinese food. Vegetarian specials range are $8-$9, I never spend more than $10-$11 on a carry out. China Garden has been rated the #1 Chinese food in Isabella County for 7 years and I can definitely say that they deserve it!
