- Sophisticated dining
We loved the inventiveness of the food at Bon Lloc. One of the reasons for eating out at a restaurant is to discover things that you wouldn't do at home and we were delighted. Staying in Palma during a holiday period meant other veggie restaurants were closed and we went to Bon Lloc twice. Both meals were great. As starters we tried the pakoras and the beetroot ravioli - which was real treat and not what we were expecting at all. For mains we went for comfort food and had the seitan with parmentier (mashed potato), and the burger. Both were full of flavours and completely more-ish. Desserts were probably slightly weaker - panacotta; and peanut, white chocolate and passion fruit cake - still very tasty but not on the level of the previous courses. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout (although I do think there is a confusion when they say some items are for sharing: I think what they mean is that this is tapas style i.e. order several to make up a full meal, not that one item is large enough to share which is probably what we understand in the UK). All in all this was great experience. (For a very different rustic country-style of vegetarian food see our review of Es Ginebro in Inca.)
