  • Basically the only vegan thing in Mersing

I was in the unfortunate position to be stranded in Mersing for a few days due to a suspended ferry. That's no good news for vegans, as besides some stall at the bus terminal that's always closed there's not much out there. How much rice with 'vegetables' (= 1 shred of carrot and 1cm of cabbage) can a person handle? That's why I recommend this Indian restaurant. The Roti Canai is heavenly. If you inform the staff that you're vegan (they don't know that concept, so just say vegetarian without milk and honey) they prepare a plate for you. Including drinks I paid like 4 ringit, 80 cents. Madness. Enjoy!
