  • great lunch option

i had never been to the engine shed, i think as its a lunchtime only, but am now glad to have visited. its a well know institution in edinburgh, known for the work it does, and its also one of the main suppliers of variations of tofu in scotland. the restaurant really is a nice space and was reasonably busy and all the staff were really helpful. There were a few options for mains and i went for the nutballs with spaghetti and tomato sauce. i was wary, i'm sure like most others i was constantly given nut roasts when i started out without meat, and generally this put me off this sort of dish. i was impressed though, a great balance of herbs and garlic, and i really enjoyed it. I had a cherry flapjack for desert which was good, not too much sugar, but plenty of fruit. if you do visit edinburgh, you should come here, its a worthy cause wheeich needs everyone support.
