Being a Vegan already gives you an edge over your carnivore-consuming neighbors but it doesn\u2019t stop there. \u00a0It\u2019s important to take an inventory every once in a while to see how things are going and to make changes if there\u2019s need.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some questions for you to consider:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>How do you feel on a day to day basis?<\/li>\n<li>How often do you get sick?<\/li>\n<li>How do you look? (<em>if you\u2019re a poor judge looking in the mirror, then look at some recent pictures of yourself<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>How do your close friends and family say that you look?(<em>if a few people are saying the same thing to you, then there might be something worth paying attention to.\u00a0 If no one\u2019s commented lately, then ask some people you know will be honest with you<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Have you lost or gained more than 5 pounds this past year and if so, why?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have enough energy to do everything you want to do during the day (notice I said <em>want<\/em> and not <em>need<\/em> here).<\/li>\n<li>Do you rely more on supplements or food sources to meet daily nutrient needs?*<\/li>\n<li>Do you eat the same things day in a day out?\u00a0 When\u2019s the last time you tried a new recipe of food?(<em>in other words are you in a rut?)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>What are you proud of from this past year? What needs to change?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Based on your answers from above, do you need to consult with others or seek out more information? Who\/What\/Where?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There are no quick fixes when it comes to pursuing optimal health.\u00a0 It takes time and intentionality. \u00a0The result makes the effort well worth it though\u2026to live a life with robust vitality, free of troubling symptoms and chronic disease.<\/p>\n<p>So what does optimal health look like for you this year?\u00a0 Take the time this month to grab a piece of paper and <strong>Reflect, Be Honest, Dream, Write it Down, Address Your Fears, Seek Wise<\/strong> <strong>Counsel <\/strong>and then <strong>Do It<\/strong>.\u00a0 And if you\u2019re feeling particularly bold, share it with the rest of us!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>*Although we\u2019re a nutrition supplement company, we wouldn\u2019t dare tell you that the one and only thing you have to do to ensure optimal physical health is to \u201cpop some capsules and then lay back and take it easy\u201d. \u00a0\u00a0Good nutrition practices are simple: first and foremost seek to get all of your major and minor nutrients from high quality food.\u00a0\u00a0 Supplements can be helpful because, let\u2019s face it, there\u2019s a lot that happens in our current food supply that causes it to lose some of its nutritional integrity well before it enters our body.
