Located in the center of the city, on a cute little street of the Marolles district, the Judgy Vegan<\/a> is the very first restaurant to exclusively serve vegan food in Brussels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Julie, Nastasia and C\u00e9line are three friends that decided to create this project a few years ago. They met in a university group for animal rights, and from that friendship was born the idea of creating a vegan cafe–a cozy place where people could meet, talk, unwind and enjoy plant-based comfort food.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, it is only Julie that runs the establishment. She based her menu on her favorite food that she ingeniously transformed into vegan recipes. She wants to prove that vegan food can be tasty, heart-warming and a not so complicated diet to follow. Her products are sourced locally and are fair-trade. She even has a small counter where she sells a selection of organic products carefully chosen to support her values and ecological engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind The Judgy Vegan<\/a> there is absolutely no judgement. The name was a joke that came from the drawing of the logo and that symbolises the faculty of self-derision. Vegans shouldn\u2019t judge as veganism promotes tolerance, love and respect. Instead, they should show the world how delicious their food really is, and that is what Julie does.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her menu definitely promotes junk food and comfort food; burgers, fries, cakes, crepes, milkshakes, you name it!<\/span><\/p>\n

The bestsellers are the burger<\/i> cheesus<\/i>, a plant-based cheese croquette with mayo, melted cheese and vegetables, the burger<\/i> forestier<\/i>, a mushroom and tofu patty with mayo, mushrooms, vegetables, melted cheese, the typical belgian recipe the boulettes \u00e0 la Li\u00e8geoise,<\/i> and of course all the desserts!<\/span><\/p>\n
