Imagine yourself in the urban jungle of Los Angeles. Maybe you enjoy the city, maybe you don’t, but either way, you need to escape it. You can’t venture too far… but you seek serenity, solitude, and nature. An open space, some peace of mind.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is how one might stumble upon The Treehouse<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re like me, perhaps you googled \u201cvegan hotels in L.A.\u201d and The Treehouse<\/a> populated. A vegan hotel? It’s too good to be true… <\/i>But I assure you, it’s real! The Treehouse<\/a> is a plant-based hideaway in the City of Angels. And so far, it’s the only one there.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon my arrival, I noticed it certainly is a hideaway, tucked amongst the trees off of a busy residential Bel Air neighborhood street. Once I pulled into the driveway, I noticed the atmosphere was gentler, quieter, and welcoming.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was greeted by Gina Roda, the resident numerologist and chef de cuisine for my stay. A delightful hostess, full of wisdom and warmth. She gave me a brief tour, a brief history of the establishment, and showed me to my room: The Blue Room.<\/span><\/p>\n

This particular room is also known as \u201cthe healing room\u201d. While I was unaware that I needed any healing, it was aptly named due to its vibrant yet relaxing aesthetic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Blue Room has a personal balcony nestled under the tree tops with a cozy chair, sturdy hammock, and a sitting area<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indoors, there’s a mini-fridge, a desk (which came in handy for work), plenty of informational reading on extra offerings and services by The Treehouse<\/a> staff, and an additional sitting area underneath a gorgeous elephant tapestry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bathroom overlooks the green hillside, where I felt like I had a secret window into the wild, watching squirrels scurrying about and resting in the branches. <\/span><\/p>\n

There were also aura cleansing sprays, extra towels, natural toiletries, a bamboo bathmat, robes, and other holistic amenities at my disposal. Needless to say, I felt rejuvenated during and after my stay here.<\/span><\/p>\n

After checking in, I set about to explore the city a little more, but found it difficult to leave \u2013 I was swept up into the calmness of the house, with its wistful breezes through the open doors and the sunlight pouring in through the tall windows and onto the floors… I was immediately at home in this magical space.<\/span><\/p>\n

My first breakfast was beautifully laid out, as you can see, served on colorful, decorative tableware. I was given strawberry cashew yogurt topped with blueberries, sides of almonds and sweetened granola, served with a robust cup of coffee, and a frozen blended strawberry drink (made with coconut sugar).<\/span><\/p>\n

I can’t recall the last time a cup of coffee truly perked me up! This coffee \u2013 made from the signature Treehouse<\/a> Biodynamic Espiritu Santo coffee bean (single origin) – is ground fresh in the morning, served in a personal French press, and they even offer it for sale in their store.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the incredible coffee for sale at The Treehouse<\/a>, you’ll find:<\/span><\/p>\n

Vegan banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, Eleuthera Mineral Salt, and Isparta Biodynamic Rose Tea. As the owner Hedda Leonardi informed me, \u201cPeople love taking a piece of the Treehouse<\/a> ethos with them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Day two of breakfast consisted of a shortstack of vegan waffles with Miyoko’s butter and raspberry jam, this time served with fresh ginger tea. <\/span><\/p>\n

Everything on the menu for my stay was vegan, but it’s still wise to always inform your host\/hostess of any dietary allergies, sensitivities, or preferences.<\/span><\/p>\n

During my stay, I made sure to utilize the beautiful space and amenities offered to me. This included meditating in my room, or the common room, reading my own Tarot, and sitting with Gina for a numerology reading during breakfast.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know a little about astrology, and I know enough about reading Tarot, but numerology was completely new to me. Luckily, I had \u201cThe Oracle of the Treehouse\u201d (Gina) guiding me through it. She’s an intuitive numerologist and also coaches by numbers. She focused on my life path & life purpose, which was very insightful… this, combined with my enchanting stay, gave me plenty to reflect on.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is so much more to the Treehouse<\/a> than can be put into words; I couldn’t possibly relay all that it has to offer, both the tangible and intangible aspects… You may just have to experience it for yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n
