Torrevieja is well known for its beaches and is one of the most tourist-heavy cities in Spain. However, it is by no means the capital of veganism. There are a few restaurants that offer vegan options, but only one that is 100% vegan, and that\u2019s Giusto Vegan Restaurant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When you walk into Giusto Vegan<\/a> you instantly get an Italian vibe. They have the typical Toscana chairs and decor made with dry pasta, but without using the repetitive colors of green, red and white (the Italian flag trio). So it\u2019s really nice.<\/p>\n

The menu is mostly based on Italian food, as an Italian restaurant should be, but also with some Mexican dishes like fajitas. For starters, we ordered French fries with salsa rosa, like a pink mayo, and a Caesar salad.<\/p>\n

The Caesar salad was good, although I would prefer more dressing. And the heura (Spanish vegan chicken made by Foods for Tomorrow) was totally delicious. The big deception came with the French fries. The quantity was so small, and they came with a simple ketchup and vegan mayo sauce…so because of that, we thought they were overpriced.<\/p>\n

We continued with some Italian dishes like Green Fettuccini Pasta with heura. Again the heura was so tasty (even for non-vegans) but we thought the pasta lacked flavor and needed more sauce.<\/p>\n

We also ordered Red Raviolis 3 cheese, which frankly was amazing, but the quantity was small. In addition, we got a Margarita pizza with extra onion, but it was just a few slices\u2026like c\u2019mon it\u2019s onion!<\/p>\n

Finally, desserts. We ordered a ch\u00eda pudding with berries and coconut whipped cream and a home-made chocolate pie with coconut whipped cream. Both of them were amazing! The ch\u00eda pudding was obviously the healthiest option. The pie tasted incredible with the coconut whipped cream. We truly loved the desserts.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, do I recommend this restaurant? Yes! But stay away from the French fries and order the Italian dishes or the ones with heura. And also be careful with the wine–one glass can cost 5 euros.<\/p>\n
