When we were planning a trip to Berlin everybody told us; \u2018That is such a great city!\u2019 \u2018It is hip & happening in Berlin!\u2019 This, of course, made us even more curious.<\/p>\n

And I have to admit, Berlin is hip & happening in all kinds of ways. There is a vibe in Berlin that says; \u2018We can make change. We are looking for a new, greener, healthier lifestyle!\u2019<\/p>\n

And they do. Berlin is a vegan Valhalla. So many vegan stores, restaurants and vegan options in non-vegan restaurants. It\u2019s amazing. We were very pleasantly surprised.<\/p>\n

Of course you also feel the vibe of the very disturbing and heartbreaking past of the city. Like when visiting the remaining Berlin Wall. Although artists have made beautiful paintings and the Wall has become one giant outdoor gallery, it\u2019s also a monument that reminds us of what happened, not even half a century ago.<\/p>\n

After a stop at Veganz<\/a>, the fist vegan supermarket in Europe, we walked upstairs to check out the restaurant The Bowl<\/a>. There is an easy-going vibe in the restaurant with lots of big windows overlooking the Berlin streets.<\/p>\n

We were there on a warm sunny day so most of the windows were open. It is a very popular place so it was not easy to get a table but when we did we enjoyed all the hustle and bustle around us. Great to see that everybody was enjoying their food.<\/p>\n

You can come here for a lovely healthy breakfast.<\/p>\n

Sunday Breakfast – pink chia bowl with a raw cashew vanilla cream and blueberry parfait with fresh fruit topping.<\/em><\/p>\n

Or can you can come just for a nice cup of tea or coffee and enjoy a great piece of cake.<\/p>\n

And of course there are lots of different options in bowls\u2026for lunch or dinner.<\/p>\n

Local Fall Bowl – grilled Hokkaido, butternut, red beets, hummus, mixed greens salad with a vig & strawberry vinaigrette.<\/p>\n

Their philosophy is; \u2018Nature is our guru.\u2019 The Bowl<\/a> is the first clean eating restaurant in Berlin, with a 100% plant-based kitchen, which is also gluten- and sugar-free. And it is all made with love–that is their philosophy as well. What\u2019s not to like?<\/p>\n

We enjoyed a great Mediterranean Bowl with falafel and enjoyed the view on the street life of Berlin.<\/p>\n
