This is a fast recipe with only five ingredients! It takes ten minutes to prepare start to finish, and much faster when you get the hang of it and make it often. The photograph may not be as chic as the other recipes on my site, but it is seriously the best kale salad you\u2019ll ever have!<\/p>\n<p>This salad is raw, vegan, gluten-free, and insanely flavorful for being made of all produce. Since you massage the dressing into the kale, it wilts and there is not a strong \u201ckaley\u201d taste. If you\u2019re an avocado fan and you give this recipe a chance\u2013I promise you\u2019ll be hooked!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Benefits<\/span><br \/>\nKale is a major superfood and is even referred to as the \u201cqueen of greens\u201d because of its high nutrition content!<br \/>\n\u2022 Kale is very high in iron\u2013per calorie it has more iron than beef.<br \/>\n\u2022 Kale has more antioxidants than most greens (which is a lot!). These antioxidants prevent wrinkles and can \u201cslow down\u201d the aging process.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Variations<\/span><br \/>\nFeel free to omit the nutritional yeast; your salad will still taste amazing!<\/p>\n<p>Adjust the ingredients until it tastes how you prefer. For instance you can add more salt, less lemon juice, or half an avocado instead of a whole one. I never measure anything when I make this, just taste and make adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>Other veggies make a great addition to this salad! Two that I\u2019ve used before are chopped tomatoes and shredded purple cabbage.<\/p>\n<p>Quinoa is delicious in this salad as well and makes an excellent protein boost! Just steam ahead of time and mix in as much as you\u2019d like after you\u2019ve followed the recipe below.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">INGREDIENTS<\/span><br \/>\n\u2022 1 head organic curly kale<br \/>\n\u2022 1 medium organic avocado skin and seed removed, flesh only<br \/>\n\u2022 1 large fresh squeezed organic lemon juice<br \/>\n\u2022 1 large organic garlic clove minced<br \/>\n\u2022 2 tsp nutritional yeast optional<br \/>\n\u2022 1\/2 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">INSTRUCTIONS<\/span><br \/>\n1. Wash kale and remove the tough stems. Place in a large bowl and tear into smaller bite-sized pieces.<\/p>\n<p>2. Add salt, and massage with your fingers until kale wilts. This takes a minute or two.<\/p>\n<p>3. Add lemon juice, avocado flesh, garlic, and nutritional yeast. Continue to massage with your fingers until all ingredients are well combined throughout the kale.<\/p>\n<p>4.
