It looks to be from about the 1920s or 1930s. The original pins are very uncommon. Henry S. Salt &amp; Ernest Bell had been writing about &#8211; \u2018thorough-going vegetarians\u2019 &#8211; etc. since the 1880s. Dr. William Lambe \u2013 was also in London &amp; writing about &#8216;veganism&#8217; in in 1815 ~ My reason for objecting to every species of matter to be used as food, except the direct produce of the earth \u2013 as maybe seen in my last publication \u2013 is founded\u00a0on the broad ground that no other matter is suited to the organs of man.
