Veganburg’s newest and first American location opened in December of 2015, and serves American fast-food favorites without any meat, dairy, or animal by-products. Veganburg seems to have something for everyone. Aside from the array of creative vegan burgers, french fries, soft serve ice cream, and delicious vegan sides, guests can also make healthy edits like trading fries for broccoli or getting a vegan paleo burger wrapped in lettuce instead of bread. The Mustang Relish was a crispy vegan patty with avocado, pickles, onions, and some incredibly convincing meatless bacon. It’s not often that I question a food’s vegan-ness, but the texture and flavor of the bacon were so realistic that I almost thought I was in the wrong place (I was later assured it was definitely vegan!). The ambiance of Veganburg encourages folks to stick around. The high ceilings and artistic details make it a perfect hybrid between a fast food joint and a sit-down restaurant.
