And I have to admit, Berlin is hip & happening in all kinds of ways. There is a vibe in Berlin that says; ‘We can make change. We are looking for a new, greener, healthier lifestyle!’ And they do. Berlin is a vegan Valhalla. So many vegan stores, restaurants and vegan options in non-vegan restaurants. It’s amazing. We were very pleasantly surprised. Of course you also feel the vibe of the very disturbing and heartbreaking past of the city. Like when visiting the remaining Berlin Wall. Although artists have made beautiful paintings and the Wall has become one giant outdoor gallery, it’s also a monument that reminds us of what happened, not even half a century ago.
