One of my favorites was Gentle Gourmet, a beautiful 100% vegan restaurant with a great menu. We ate there twice and on both occasions I chose “The Famous”, a truly wonderful Portobello Hamburger. I know I should have tried something else but this Portobello Hamburger was too good to skip a second time!    Located a few steps away from the metro stop Bastille in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, Gentle Gourmet is open from Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, and it has a wonderful ambiance. They offer a wide variety of dishes entirely vegan and homemade, mostly organic, on site or to take away. Not only is “The Famous” is truly great, they have beautiful vegan desserts as well…a feast for the eyes! Their main goal: to offer Parisians and welcomed visitors a vegan cuisine of equal if not higher quality and diversity than the classic meat dishes so renowned in this capital of culinary arts.
