Many dog treats are loaded with chemicals, artificial flavors, preservatives, colorings and by-products of the animal industry. That’s why I prefer to make homemade dog treats. Here’s an easy recipe for Doggie Carrot Squares. They are really simple and healthy, with the addition of nutritional yeast and minced carrots. The recipe yields a softer biscuit, so if your best friend desires a crispier one, just increase the barking…I mean…the BAKING time. And as usual, my husband likes to eat them too…while they are still warm. WOOF! DOGGIE CARROT SQUARES Ingredients: -1 ¼ cups flour -¼ cup nutritional yeast -½ cup raw carrots, minced (processed in a food processor or blender) -1 teaspoon Bragg’s Liquid Aminos -2 tablespoons olive oil -1/3 cup vegetable broth Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
