Sister restaurant to Shojin in downtown LA, this one opened in 2013 on a busy street - look for the lotus root design. Offers modern vegan Japanese cuisine with refreshing beverages, a variety of appetizers and sushi rolls plus ramen and daily desserts. Intimate setting with dim lighting.

Its 2nd restaurant which also house Kindkreme raw ice cream bar. Menu here is more extensive than its other locations. Large space with full bar. Food is vegan, from sandwiches, grain bowls, and tacos to pizza, starters and salads plus hot pretzels. The only non-vegan item is honey for sale and in a few ice cream flavors.

Re-opened Jun 2012 after renovations.

A combo with 3 curries/dishes, white rice, and bread costs around $8.50 (extra for brown rice). Offers soy yogurt for vegans. There's also a small chaat menu (samosas, pani puri, bhel puri). Casual, clean-lines decor with a large wooden communal table in the center of the dining area. Parking in lot behind or on the street in front. Same owners as Bhahat Baazar, but this location is restaurant only and no Indian groceries.

Note that restaurant food is vegetarian but catering menu is not all vegetarian.
