Old Bagan, Anada Pagoda North Gate, Bagan, Myanmar

A small vegetarian restaurant that serves a wide range of mostly Burmese and some fusion dishes. Owner speaks English. Located in the same street as Moon vegetarian restaurant (Moon is at the end, Khaing Shwe Wha at the beginning of the small street).
Old Bagan, Bagan, Myanmar
Cuisine: Vegan-friendly, Lacto, Ovo, Beer/Wine, Asian, Burmese
Also known as Be Kind To Animals, this little open-air veggie cafe is located on a dirt road north of the Ananda Temple, just off the old main road - you'll see a sign on the main road directing you. Offers a variety of choices. One seasonal specialty is the papadum with guacamole.
4 St, Anawrahta Quarter, New Bagan, Bagan, Myanmar
Cuisine: Vegan-friendly, Lacto, Ovo, Western, Asian, Burmese
Sister restaurant to the original one in Old Bagan, this one opened Oct 2016. Same menu of a mix of Burmese and some of a general stir fry nature, plus a couple specials such as a banana dud salad. More stylish and hip than the other location. Has an access down a dirt track (200m on sign but felt like more) and probably not very pleasant access if heavy rain and on foot or a scooter or bike. Other sealed road access may be available to the west.
Yarkhinnthar Hotel Road, Nyaung U, Bagan, Myanmar
Cuisine: Chinese, Juice bar, Beer/Wine, Burmese, Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Unpretentious with simple Burmese menu. Curries, noodle, salads, soups, juices. Located on restaurant row on corner of the road down to New Park Hotel.
south of Old Bagan, Main Road, Myingabar Village, Bagan, Myanmar
Cuisine: Vegan-friendly, Chinese, Burmese, Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Previously all-veg and at front of Archaeological Museum; moved to this location on the main road (no turns required). Added meat to its menu, but still offers many vegetable dishes. Like most places in Myanmar, you'll need to explain this in Burmese or point to it written down, though the owner's son speaks English and is sometimes present. Large portions. Try the shan tofu.
