Needs More Vegan Selections

3 Posted on 08 / 11 / 2011

If you're into wine and microbrews, this is the Whole Foods for you. I can take it or leave it, so it doesn't boost my rating. They have a wine bar if you'd like a glass of wine or beer while you shop. This location has a coffee bar, but it's only open from 9a-2pm. So if like me you need your afternoon decaf soy latte fix, you're out of luck. Hoping they'll extend the hours.

There's a panini station with made-to-order paninis and a gelato & chocolate's bar, but both have little to no vegan options. They have a big cooking classroom area and do cooking lessons, demos, etc.

One nice thing I'll say is that like most Whole Foods, they have a great selection of organic produce.

What this store is lacking is more vegan and raw food choices. With the great vegan and vegetarians restaurants all over the Detroit area, why not carry some of their products? How about Cacoa Tree Cafe and Inn Season Cafe in Royal Oak, Royal Sweets indian desserts in Troy, the Raw Cafe in Detroit, Avalon Bakery?

Located at The Village of Rochester Hills on Walton Boulevard just East of Adams Road.
