While Whole Foods offers many great vegan items throughout the store, the deli is another story. Even when items are labeled "vegan," a quick read-through of the ingredients in the past has included real dairy, real meat broth/stock, honey, egg, and even real meat! Whenever I encounter something like this, I run it past the staff and find out that the ingredients are CORRECT and the item is not actually vegan. Often when items are vegan, they're also rather bland--not to mention expensive. I've been to many other Whole Foods delis and have loved the food, but I'd skip the Fort Collins Whole Foods deli and check out somewhere else instead.
